Most of what we see runs on acreage and access. A light-brush half-acre lot with street access is often a one-to-two-day operation. Two to five acres of mixed hardwood with stump removal and haul-off is more typically one to two weeks. Wet ground, protected trees, buried debris, and single-point access are the usual reasons a schedule stretches — we call those out in the proposal instead of discovering them later.

Six things, roughly in order: acreage inside the limits of disturbance, tree density and trunk size, whether stumps and root mat have to come out, how the debris leaves the site (chip and spread on site is cheaper than loading and hauling to a landfill), site access for loaded trucks, and the erosion-control scope your permit requires. Slope, rock, and buried structures move the number too.

We install and maintain erosion and sediment control to the approved ES&PC plan — silt fence, construction exits, inlet protection, and temporary stabilization — and we keep the inspection-ready records for it. Permitting and design stamps stay with the owner and the design professional; we coordinate with them and build to the approved plan.

Yes, and it is most of the work. We flag the limits of disturbance with you on the site walk, protect specimen and buffer trees, and stay inside the line. Selective clearing for a pad, a driveway, a fence line, or a crane and laydown area is a normal scope for us.

Whichever is cheapest that your permit and neighbors will accept: mulch and spread on site, grind and stockpile, or load and haul off with disposal tickets. We price the option you pick and show the disposal cost separately so you can compare.

That is deliberate — you get the right size dozer, excavator, or mulcher for your site instead of whatever happens to be sitting in a yard, and rental cost appears on your proposal as a real quoted number.

Site walks are usually inside a week of the call. Mobilization depends on the erosion-control and permit status more than on our schedule — once the plan is approved and the pre-construction meeting is done, we commit to a date in writing and stage to it.
